The key to online security in today's world is a good password policy. Most of the Internet services such as webmail, ftp, pop3, etc require username / password authentication.
They say that a chain is as strong as its weakest link. If you use a weak password for multiple accounts, you put yourself in great jeopardy because a hacker can easily intercept or brute force your password and they will gain access to your private data.
It's a fact that humans can not remember more than 5 different passwords. What do you do if you need 10 or 20 or 100 unique passwords? This is where BlackBox Password Manager comes very handy. It is a free lightweight and easy-to-use password manager for Windows which will remember all your passwords. Yes, all of them.
The application stores your passwords in a highly encrypted local database. This database consists of only one file, so it can be easily transferred from one computer to another.
BlackBox Password Manager allows you to store your passwords grouped any way you like. You could sort the passwords by function (email, ftp) or by server, etc. The program can export the database to various formats (like TXT, XML, CSV ...). It can also import data from various other formats (TXT files, CSV files ...).
If you want to store the passwords for a longer term offline, you can print the password list. The program offers easy copy the username / passwords into Windows clipboard for easy usage.
Just in case you need a strong random password generator, BlackBox Password manager provides an excellent password generator which guarantees unique and complex passwords each time it is used.
